A urine powered battery the scope of a credit card has been invented by Singapore researchers.A drop of urine generates 1.5 volts, the equivalent of one AA battery, says Dr Ki Beat Lee of the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology.

Cadmium, be like chemically to mercury, is a toxic metal used in a range of products from batteries to fungicides. Like mercury or prima ballerina, it can build up in the body over time, especially in the kidneys, and appears to source a host of health problems. Recent studies have linked cadmium to knocker cancer, prostate cancer, renal failure and osteoporosis.

Securely storing hydrogen is large so heavy as to be cumbersome in vehicles. Well, a researcher has found that an alloy of magnesium, titanium and nickel solves this puzzle by readily absorbing hydrogen. Tanks built of this material could be up to 60% lighter than the equivalent amount of batteries required to power a car.
